Information we have about you and how we use it

We register and use personal data about you in order to offer you the best possible advisory services and solutions while at the same time meeting the statutory requirements applying to us as a financial business.
This means that we register and use personal data when, for example:

• you have made or you are considering making an agreement with us concerning a service or a product
• you have consented to us using your personal data for a specific purpose
• we are required by law to do so.

Depending on the products or services you have contracted for or are considering contracting for, we will register and use different types of personal data. These personal data are data about you that you provide to us or consent to us registering, including:

• basic personal data, for example your name and contact information
• information about your employer, if your scheme is an employer pension scheme
• information about your profession, work or education 
• financial information, for example your annual salary
• information about your family and household
• information about the services and products we supply to you, including your preferences in that respect.

Sensitive personal data

In order to be able to advise you about or offer you a given product or service, we may need to register and use sensitive personal data about you, such as health information if you wish to increase your insurance cover for loss of earning capacity. 

Please feel free to contact us if you believe we have data about you that are not up-to-date or are irrelevant so that we can rectify or erase them. Please note, however, that we are required by law to store certain data for up to several years, even if you are no longer a Danica customer.

In order to be able to offer you solutions aligned with your needs and give you relevant advice, we will ask for your consent to store personal data about you or disclose them to third parties.

For example, through our Danica Update programme, we ask for your consent to contact you digitally in order to give you recommendations regarding your pension and insurance covers directly in your inbox in the event of changes to your life situation or pension legislation.
